Pastoral Supervision
Pastoral supervision supports and encourages learning and professional development. Within a boundaried safe space of discussion, my aim is to assist ministry leaders and workers in developing and maintaining consistency and harmony between their beliefs and their work practice.
My style of supervision is to walk alongside my clients through reflective and safe discussions encouraging restorative and transformative learning. Pastoral supervision is not counselling, administrative, or spiritual direction. Walking beside enables rejuvenation for one's work and personal calling.
Pastoral supervision focuses on the pastoral work with others as well as on pastoral care for the individual to safeguard and enhance the quality of his/her work
Focus is on actual ministry situations, experiences, and issues that may be affecting or can affect the quality of one’s ministry.
The discussion is balanced with a psychological informed approach and a theological framework that provides safe, thoughtful, and structured reflection and insight.
